‘and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time’ – T.S. Eliot

My name is Carol Nathanson. I have lived with cancer for twenty years: now you see it, now you don't... Just when you think it's gone away, there it is, back again. And so the treatment starts again. And life goes on. Allow it. Treasure yourself.

You are both King and Queen. Talk, write and unravel. This is your time.

I offer therapy, seeing patients at a regular time on a weekly basis, for a 50 minute session at my consulting room in London. I have been in practice for over twenty years.

Private Practice: 96 Harley Street. Consultant Adult Psychotherapist (now retired) NHS, London

I have worked with a wide range of presenting issues such as anorexia and bulimia, depression, break-down, panic attacks, suicidal ideation, sexuality (abuse, identity), relationships, war-related trauma and cultural issues, dissociative identity disorder, drug addiction, prostitution, bereavement, loss and the effects of terminal illness.

"Being on the edge With the shadow of cancer inside you, One is forced to learn it, know it, accept it and even resist But not deny it And it is that tension Which can I believe, Be transformed into a potent and creative vitality, For the life that is left." — Carol Nathanson
