  • Alex Campbell – Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist

The term 'Counselling' is used universally as a way of describing talking therapies. It is a safe and supportive environment to share what is troubling you. During counselling with me, you are empathically listened to in a way that helps you understand yourself better. The aim of counselling is to support you in finding more effective and satisfying ways of living your life.

What's the different between Counselling and Psychotherapy? Counselling tends to focus on more specific problems whereas Psychotherapy can address deeper underlying issues that may be unfamiliar as well as unprocessed. They both provide a space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. They also help you deal more effectively with your past and present challenges and help you make decisions for your future that enhance your wellbeing.

My therapeutic approach integrates both Counselling and Psychotherapy. For more information on me and my approach, please visit harleysttherapy.co.uk.

Finding the right therapist for your journey is very important. If you would be interested in coming to see me:

    1. Send me an email or call me and we can get an Initial Consultation set up.

    2. During the Initial Consultation, I will carry out an assessment and you can share what brings you to therapy, what you would like from therapy and ask me any questions you may have. We can discuss how we might work together and how I can best support you.

    3. If you're happy to continue, we will set up a second session, and we'll arrange to see each other weekly at a time suitable for us both.

    Initial Consultation Fee - £51
    Week Session Fee - £81

Please note that I review my fees annually.

As a BACP Registered Therapist, I offer an integrative approach of one-to-one talking therapy. This means I draw from a variety of different theoretical approaches depending on your needs.

There are many reasons why you may be seeking therapeutic support including mental health issues, bereavement, relationship challenges, difficulty at work or struggling with a particular experience. Whatever your reasons, I provide safe, supportive and non-judgemental support which is bespoke to you.

I qualified with a Post-Graduate Diploma from The Minster Centre, the UK's leading Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy training institute. Working both privately and within the NHS, I'm privileged to work with a diverse range of people.

I spent 3 years at The Mulberry Centre, a cancer support organisation and IAPT service. I have also worked within a Therapeutic Community providing long-term therapy for adult survivors of childhood abuse (Sexual, Emotional & Physical).

At present in my private practice, I see a wide range of clients and specialise in working with those in high-powered & pressured careers as well as public figures within the film and music business.

Before becoming a Therapist, I worked in the Film and Television Industry in the UK and USA. I also run a business providing Corporate Wellbeing to the Private and Third Sector.
