    Paul Byford is an integrative Counsellor who works using a variety of different approaches to suit the individual according to their condition or the issues they wish to share.

    Evidence and research suggest that CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Humanistic Person Centered Counselling, MI (Motivational Interviewing) and traditional 12 Step treatment are very beneficial in the treatment of addictions. These may include ingested addictions to Alcohol, and recreational or prescription drugs like Benzodiazipanes and painkillers, also self defeating behaviours that affect quality of life. For example, Dysfunctional relationships, Gambling, Self-Harm, Eating disorders, Compulsive shopping, Workaholism, and over exercising. Paul can use his skill base to work with many other important issues including anxiety, stress, depression, low self esteem and many other challenges.

    Paul Byford is an Accredited member of the Federation Of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP) and is also a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). He also has a Degree in Addictions Counselling awarded by the University of Bath. He trained at the Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies (run by the charity Action on Addiction). Paul has worked at some of the most respected Residential Treatment Centres in the country including Clouds House and Prinsted. He is still working within the industry currently dividing his time between working with addicted prisoners and his private practises here at 96 Harley Street, London, and Kent and Sussex.
