Sue Sutcliffe's approach to therapy is client-led, integrative and holistic. She believes there is a fundamental link between mental and physical health and that nutrition, exercise and a good work/life balance promote health and well-being and also significantly reduce the likelihood of depressions, stress related illnesses, obesity, addictions and self-destructive or anti-social behaviours.

Throughout her work, Sue has seen clear evidence as to the healing and restorative power of nature and believes profoundly that the more we are in harmony with the natural world, the more we will be at peace with ourselves. Sue is now developing an eco-therapy programme to increase the availability of working with nature as a therapeutic and coaching resource.

Sue is a qualified addictions counsellor and her knowledge of family systematic, together with her extensive experience, informs her work with families, couples and groups. She was instrumental in setting up one of the first family and adolescent programmes in the UK and continues to facilitate groups and to give seminars on family dynamics. She believes in the ability of every individual to make positive changes in their lives which will enable them to reach their full potential.

Sue is an experienced couples therapist. She has developed this work to include helping couples to sort out potential difficulties before committing to a life together, to minimise the risk of a future break up. She has a dedicated website for on this area of her work. If you prefer, you can contact her via email at sue.sutcliffe@btinternet.com.

In order to establish a safe and clear therapeutic environment, the terms of the sessions are set out below. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

The session are for 55 minutes except in the case of couple or family work where they can be extended to 90 or 120 minutes, as appropriate. Every session is strictly confidential unless I feel there is a life-threatening risk, in which case we would discuss the advisability of an onward referral.

Thank you and I look forward to working with you in a constructive and healing relationship.
